Mohammed Bennis attended Koranic school before starting at the age of ten the public primary school, in 1958. From his early secondary school years, he cultivated an interest in literature and in lyrical poetry in particular. At the Faculty of Letters Dahr El Mehraz in Fez, he obtained, in 1972, the Bachelor of Art degree in Arabic Literature. He received his Post Graduate Degree at the Faculty of Letters, Mohammed-V Agdal University, in 1978.
