Introducing the Board of the Voices Education Project:

  • Karl Bischoff
    Karl is president of Phinney Bischoff Design House, specializing in integrated brand design, including research and strategy, design, interactive, and ideation with a special emphasis on a transparent and inclusive approach to client collaborations. Karl’s diverse experience in photography, music, art direction and production prompted him to establish PBDH’s interactive practice, one of the first in the region to design for the emerging Web. Devoted to the long-term success of PBDH clients, Karl leads a team of award-winning developers in creating a successful interactive presence for such brands as Adaptis, Oldcastle Precast, Swedish Medical Center, Seattle University Law, Margaret Thatcher Foundation and Silver Creek Outfitters.
  • Michele Corey
    Michele is a consultant and adviser on branding, organizational development, and Internet communications. She has a decade of experience in Fortune 500 and 1000 companies such as Grand Metropolitan, whose well-known consumer products include many household names such as Pillsbury and Green Giant, Clorox and The Dial Sales Corporation. She has successfully created and executed complex sales and marketing programs with an emphasis on the bottom line, building long-term business partnerships and generating customer loyalty.
  • Dee Eisenhauer
    Dr. Dee Eisenhauer is the senior pastor of the Eagle Harbor Congregational Church on Bainbridge Island. She is involved in a number of ecumenical efforts locally, the Interfaith Council, and nationally. The Congregational Church has a very active youth group which was spear-headed by Dee.
  • Andrew Himes 
    Andrew Himes is a Seattle writer, director and producer. In 2004 he founded the Voices Education Project, which brings the voices and stories of veterans and civilian witnesses to a wider audience in classrooms and on the Internet via social media. The first film he produced was Voices in Wartime, a documentary that uses poetry to explore the trauma of war. He was co-editor of the Voices in Wartime Anthology, and director of the short film on PTSD, Beyond Wartime. In the early 90s he helped pioneer Microsoft's embrace of the Internet by managing the company's first web team, and in the 80s was founding editor of MacTech Journal, the premiere Macintosh programming magazine. 
  • Peter Morgan (Board President)
    Peter Morgan is currently executive vice-president for Group Health Cooperative in charge of all Group Health hospitals and clinics in the Puget Sound Region, with many years experience in healthcare manager and financial operations. He has served 14 years on the Board of Country Doctor Health Clinic and is currently on the Board of the Washington Hospital Association.  
  • Abdi Sami
    Abdi is a graduate of the University Of Southern California School Of Cinema. He was a film executive at Disney, Dream Quest Images and other film production companies. He has over 25 years of experience in management and leadership. He has worked and consulted with and sat on the board of nonprofits. He is a filmmaker and most recently he worked as a consultant/Associate Producer with Rick Steve's production company in producing a PBS special on Iran. Abdi is known for his enthusiastic and collaborative leadership style.
  • Amy Studer
  • Amy Studer is the major gifts director for Seattle Symphony. She has been a development executive at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle and major gifts director for public television station KCTS, and she works to foster healthy organizational and fund development at nonprofits where she volunteers.
  • Will Poole
    Will is an independent Social-Technologist, researching ICT for Development projects and startups, and promoting Creative Capitalism. He serves as co-chairman of NComputing Inc, a fast-growing and award-winning desktop virtualization startup that in late 2008 shipped its millionth unit, about 75% of which are deployed in schools around the world. Will was previously corporate vice president of the Unlimited Potential Group at Microsoft Corp., co-leading the company’s efforts to create new business models and technologies to help close the digital divide and help bring social and economic opportunity to the “next billion”. Before he assumed leadership of the Unlimited Potential Group, Will ran the Windows® Client business and was responsible for the software used in more than 750 million PCs around the world, delivering about 30 percent of corporate revenues.
